We are pleased you joined us.

This weekend (20th/21st May 2023) we have Megan Dixon, Rae Trowbridge and Nadine Kehely competing for TSA in the Welsh Summer Open, in Pembroke.

Good luck to both, we are proud.

Great news this week (16/05/23), with Sports Wales awarding TSA their £22,000 Grant in principal.

With just a few things on our end to send off we can start to look at signing more club members, filling our gym with new quality Weightlifting equipment and meeting as a committee to see when we can open.

Exciting times ahead!

Today (09/05/23) saw Torfaen Strength Academy trustees put up our British Weightlifting club membership certificate with pride, a small step towards our future goals.

Our first weekend of competitions (29/04/23) and what a success it was!!

We welcomed in 4 new members, Sam Kyriacou, Kirsty Robathan-Smith, Jamillah Robinson-Heather and Janine Dovey to the TSA family.

Between the 'Lakeside Weightlifting' and 'Wildboar' Spring Opens we saw some great lifting, everyone hitting competition and lifetime PB's made with the support of the team. Well done all.

We are very proud of everyone and can't wait to see more of our athletes competing very soon. Stay tuned.

We would like to wish our TSA WL club members a very best of luck in their competitions this weekend (29/04/23).

Meg Dixon and Emily Storey representing us at the 'Smashing in Spring Open' at the Lakeside Weightlifting club in Hampshire.

Macey Williams representing us at 'Wildboar Spring Open' in Lydney, Gloucester.

Have fun.

She competed in her first competition at the Wildboar Winter Open last February under Meg Dix Coaching and went 6 from 6 coming first in her category with a 35kg total.

Well done Macey and welcome to Torfaen Strength Academy.

Wednesday 5th April 2023 saw TSA become members of both TVA - Torfaen Voluntary Alliance and Connect Torfaen.

TVA has been helpful to us over the last couple of months with advice on starting up and funding, we thank them dearly.

Whereas Connect Torfaen gives us a chance to connect with our community and groups can contact us for advice and if possible for use of our service if we can meet their needs.
